This term Nursery class learns about People that Help Us and they were also very lucky to have special visitors this week. Isla’s mum, Joshua’s mum and Euan’s mum came to Nursery to tell us about the important role of hospital doctors, GPs and pharmacists. They explained to us what happened when a child hurt their leg and what kind of things doctors, nurses and chemists did to help the patient get better. We had a chance to use a stethoscope, check blood pressure and oxygen level. The children learnt about bacteria and viruses and we all had fun washing our hands while singing a Happy Birthday song. Everyone had the most amazing time and we wanted to say a big thank you to all the mums for taking their time to tell us about their jobs and teach us all these important things. There may be some potential doctors, nurses and pharmacists in Nursery class!
