Emmanuel School Vision and Values

Vision Statement
Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, life in all its fullness" (John 10:10). This reflects a life of purpose found in relationship with God, where each child is nurtured and given the opportunities to reach their full potential.
Jesus identifies Himself as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. "From Alpha to Omega" reflects our goal for our children to experience "life in all its fullness" throughout their educational journey; preparing them to flourish in an ever-changing, diverse world.
We aspire for everyone in our school community to grow into life in all its fullness: academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally, morally and socially. By nurturing growth in these areas, we empower students to reach their fullest potential and live lives shaped by the values of respect, service, wisdom, resilience, forgiveness and joy.
Theological foundation of ‘Life in all its fullness’
The theological foundation of "life in all its fullness" is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, particularly in the story of the Good Shepherd (John 10:11-18).
Jesus, as the Good Shepherd, offers His life for the sheep, guiding them with care and providing for their every need. He promises that His followers will experience abundant life, not just in quantity but in quality—through His love, protection, and guidance. Just as the Good Shepherd nurtures and cares for each of His sheep, we believe that through faith in Christ, every individual can flourish and experience the fullness of life He offers, living with love, grace, and purpose.
We are a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School, at the heart of the vibrant community of West Hampstead, providing an education for children between 3 and 11 years. Following the best aspirations of the original founders of Church of England schools, we are an inclusive school community in the Christian tradition, which rejoices in diversity, serving the whole wider community.
Our school is situated in a beautiful new building (the Omega building) opened in November 2012. The original Victorian building at 101 Mill Lane (the Alpha building) has recently been refurbished to create an open-plan Early Years’ Foundation Stage Unit.
We warmly encourage you to browse through this website to discover all that we can offer your child.
